The intensive practical course is taught in central London, over 60 contact hours and includes:

  • directed observation of lessons with learners taught by experienced ELT professionals
  • input and professional discussion sessions
  • tutorial support
  • supervised lesson planning
  • peer teaching practice for each candidate supervised by the course tutor
  • collaborative learning and feedback

Course approach 

  • Practical teaching skills are developed through observation and practice.
  • Theories of teaching have little value unless they are directly related to professional practise.
  • Trainees develop competence and confidence through professional reflection and peer-teaching training.
