What are Trinity ISE exams?

Trinity’s Integrated Skills in English (ISE) qualifications assess all four language skills – Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading – interacting with each other as they do in the real world.

The ISE exam includes the following components. Your classes will help you prepare for all parts.

1. Portfolio Tasks
2. Controlled Written Examination
3. Spoken Interview

Students do their Trinity exams at LLC with a Trinity examiner.

ISE I 4.0 – 4.5 PET B1 Intermediate

ISE IV* 8.5 – 9.0* CPE* C2 Proficiency

University entrance
ISE is listed in the UK’s University and Colleges Admissions Services (UCAS) guide to qualifications acceptable as evidence of English language competency for admission to higher education.

UK Border Agency
ISE is accepted by the UK Border Agency for the Spouse/Partner visa and for Tiers 1, 2, and 4 immigration.

Ofqual (formerly QCA)

In the UK, ISE is accredited by the Qfqual (Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA), and its respective partners in Wales and Northern Ireland.
